Puppy Training Class & Youth Club

We do things a little differently here at Normans.

We realise that there are a lot of puppies out there that cannot get the proper socialisation with dogs and humans which is critical at this stage. We have put together this fantastic offering. Here they will have the opportunity to socialise with other puppies and older dogs (when the times right). We train your dog’s whilst they are here in the facility (yes that’s right you leave them with us).  We accept puppies from 12 weeks to 6 months of age. We cover in our class Life skills, walking nicely on lead, fun recalls, control exercises, settle, food manners, touch, leave and focus training and so much more. Videos are uploaded instantly of training whilst in our facility so you have as close to real time as possible.

You will be given access to our Puppy Group that provides you with a wealth of training video’s and help along the way. We ask for a commitment of 3 Sessions at a cost of £60.00 afterwards you can decide if you wish to continue.

This means that you have access to a Degree Qualified Canine Behaviourist and Instructor, Qualified Trainers and Nutritionists, amongst us we have a wealth of knowledge to give your puppy the best start.

Our class times are as follows:-

Monday 8:00am-12:00pm or 12:30-4:30pm
Tuesday 8:00am-12:00pm or 12:30-4:30pm

Next Canine First Aid Course

Show your dog how much you care!

Working together with Darren Wailes from PPP First Aid, our informative and, above all, enjoyable and unpressured course has been well received – with excellent feedback from previous attendees.

We start at 10:00am on the Saturday and finish at 1:00pm.

You will have the opportunity to practise and learn from both Tamsin-Jane and Darren – who has a wealth of experience from working with the East of England Ambulance Service and his own First Aid event and training business.

You get a quality colour manual written by Darren, containing masses of information and colour illustrations, practice dressings, quality certificate and the opportunity to buy other First Aid products on the day. With light refreshments included too, the course is just £40 per person.

Please contact Norman’s Dog Day Care or Tamsin-Jane for more information or to book a place on the course. You can also email: [email protected].

Cynophobia

Not only do we cater for us ‘Cynophiles’ (Dog Lovers) here at Norman’s Dog Day Care, but we now do courses for those who suffer from Cynophobia too.

Cynophobia is defined as ‘An abnormal fear of dogs’ and can have a considerable effect on some peoples’ lives. Norman’s Dog Day Care is pleased to announce that we now offer a fully structured and successful course to help sufferers overcome and beat this phobia.

During these structured lessons, you will learn to use techniques to suppress your anxiety levels, how to read a dog’s signals and how to behave around ‘Man’s Best Friend’.

The centre has been specifically designed to create a safe environment where sufferers can feel totally in control of their situation.

For further details, please contact us through our Contact Us page. The course is currently aimed at adults but can be tailored for teenage children too.
